Beginning with a melodic and mournful ambient guitar performance, the record quickly takes us to a dark world full of frighteningly creative sound design and ambience. Just before we are used to the far away sound of a demon, the scream of a lowly tuned guitar commands our attention with a melodic, yet rhythmic darkness. In the song The Tower. As we continue through the record, there is beautiful oscillation between sadness, a sense of grief, and a feeling of terror. It is rare that an EP as short as this one can bring the feeling of a complete listening experience, as if we have experienced a whole story by the end. This is accomplished with repeating motifs and excellent dynamic contrast throughout the duration of the record."
